About Us
An industry body built for a coordination problem.
Nexus convenes fintechs, banks, regulators and investors, then does the unglamorous work that makes convening count.
Mission
Move innovation, capital and policy at the same speed, in the same direction.
This sector does not have a shortage of fintech ideas. It has a shortage of rooms where the person with the idea, the bank that could distribute it, the regulator who has to permit it and the fund that could pay for it are all present at once.
Nexus Fintech Forum exists to convene those rooms and then do the unglamorous work that makes them count. We advocate for workable policy, connect the parties who need each other, research the market as it actually operates, and facilitate the deals and partnerships that follow.
We are an industry body, not a consultancy and not an accelerator. We do not take equity, we do not pick winners, and we publish what we learn.
Vision
A financial system that reaches everyone in it.
Financial inclusion is the destination. Not inclusion as a compliance target, but as the ordinary state of things: a small market trader with the same access to payments, credit and savings as a corporate banking customer.
Getting there is a coordination problem before it is a technology problem. The technology largely exists. What is missing is the trust, the shared standards and the regulatory clarity that let it be deployed at scale.
Nexus is built to solve the coordination problem. When fintechs, banks, regulators and investors converge on the same evidence and the same table, the rest moves faster than anyone expects.
How We Work
Four kinds of work that only pay off together.
- Advocate
- We take the operating reality of the market to the desks writing the rules, with evidence rather than opinion.
- Connect
- We make introductions that are already qualified, so both sides arrive knowing why the meeting exists.
- Research
- We gather primary data on how the sector actually functions and publish it, including the parts nobody likes.
- Facilitate
- We stay in the room after the introduction, through pilot design, procurement and the parts that usually stall.
Team
Who is behind Nexus
Four co founders. Between them they cover the operating, technical, research and media sides of what an industry body has to do.
